Permata Kurnia (now Genius Kurnia), established in 2015, is Malaysia’s pioneering early intervention center for children with autism, later expanding to include cerebral palsy and dyslexia. Created in response to rising autism diagnoses, it provides specialized education, parental empowerment, and professional training. Designed with sensory-friendly architecture—using calm colors, layered spaces, and accessible features—it supports children’s comfort and learning. The center also promotes public awareness and community collaboration through training and outreach. With 1,786 graduates, Permata Kurnia exemplifies socially responsible design, fostering inclusion, acceptance, and holistic support for children with special needs and their families.
