Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) is the largest trade and exhibition centre in Malaysia. It derives its unique massing from the ‘rubber seed’, symbolizing the Rubber Industry’s contribution to the economic growth of Malaysia. The ellipsoid form of the seed, apart from giving a distinctive character to the building, is structurally designed to allow a clear column-less space. With its free-form surface that aims to blur the shape of the imbedded halls, the unique form stands out from its surroundings and showcase the current advancement and development in architectural design.
